Duke Rape Case: Coach Resigns - Incriminating Email Found

The Duke University lacrosse coach has resigned in response to the controversy that has followed what was initially a very low profile case.

Earlier today authorities unsealed evidence that one of the Duke lacrosse players, within hours of the alleged rape, sent an e-mail saying he wanted to invite more strippers to his dorm room, kill them and skin them. And of course, this student's lawyer sees this as evidence that should lead to an acquital.

If this is one of the poster boys for those who believe that most alleged rape victims are making false allegations, I don't want to meet the also rans.

Hi Marcella,
This case is about rape, and status in society.

Holly,

I agree that status plays a huge role, both in the attitudes of the alleged rapists and in the attitudes of the public.

No one deserves rape. Not even rapists.
