Duke Rape Case: Impact on other universities' sports programs

From an ABC story:

It's certainly nothing new that college students have sex or that athletes are popular. But in light of the rape allegations at Duke University and the cancellation of the men's lacrosse team's season there — while a separate issue — players' behavior and the impact it can have on a team are now at the forefront of many college students' minds.
Many of those quick to shout "False Allegation!" have stated that the harm this allegation has caused goes far beyond the Duke Universtity players. In their eyes this alleged criminal liar has harmed all male college athletes and possibly all men.

To quote Naomi Schaefer Riley "it would be a good idea to use a little more common sense."
