Jill Carroll: Imus's McGuirk and McCord just saying what many were thinking?

Defending inappropriate comments by using the everybody else I know felt the same way is a lame excuse at best. But what if they are right and thousands of Americans are assuming the worst about a witness to murder and the victim of kidnapping?

What does that say about our attitudes toward women who are victims of less easily proven crimes like rape?

If everyone else is blaming the victim does that make it okay?

In a gang rape would we consider the last rapist not-guilty simply because everyone else was doing it and he was just going with the flow?
