Court Upholds Polygraph for Sex Offenders

ABC News
A federal appeals court ruled that lie detector tests can be used to ensure convicted sex offenders are obeying the rules of their probation and that a ban on Internet use is appropriate for some offenders.
This ruling also provides safeguards on the polygraph testing process so probation officers use the system only for the allowed purposes. This sort of intense monitoring is key to balancing public safety needs with giving sex offenders who are capable of modifying their behavior a chance of doing so.

For those who think sex offenders should do hard time, it may help you to know that many sex offenders say that being in prison is easier than being on parole under intense supervision.
