Wrongly Freed Man Pleads Guilty in Killing

AP
He was released in June 2005 after serving eight years for armed robbery. After he was arrested in November on a parole violation charge, his parole officer recommended he go back to prison.
But a corrections employee mistakenly thought he had to be released because he had not gotten a parole hearing within 45 days of his arrest.

I've posted cases where men were freed after being wrongly convicted, but this is a reminder that not all criminal system mistakes result in the innocent being locked up.
