Who Needs Habeas Corpus With A System Like This?

AP

In a jail cell at an immigration detention center in Arizona sits a man who is not charged with a crime, not suspected of a crime, not considered a danger to society.

But he has been in custody for five years.

If we can do this, we have no right to complain if this happens in another country to one of our citizens. We had the high moral ground but this administratin has decided that the low ground is easier.

Habeas Corpus is pre-9/11/2001, but so is Christianity and nobody in the Republican party is talking about abolishing that. Yet they seem determined to throw away key elements that distinguish the US from a totalitarian state.
